Bar Potions are a type of Potion that give a temporary 20% chance that two Bars will be Smelted by a Furnace instead of one, while only using one Ore. There are currently two types of Bar Potions that each work on only a subset of Bars. The Potions require 1 of each bar that they are effective on to make, so it is generally only recommended to use them for the highest bar which they work on. The effect lasts for 10 minutes, with increased time with increasing tiers of Brewing Kit up to 20 minutes with a Diamond Brewing Kit. It can also be useful to drink a Furnace Potion when using Bar Potions, which increases the Smelting rate of all Furnaces by three times, thus also tripling the effect of the Bar Potion.
Small Bar Potion[]
The Bar Potion or Small Bar Potion is a Potion that gives a temporary 20% chance that two Bars will be smelted instead of one, while only using one Ore. This effect will only work for Bars up to Gold, so will not work for Promethium Bars or higher. It requires 2 Green Leaves, 2 Lime Leaves, and 1 each of a Bronze Bar, Iron Bar, Silver Bar, and Gold Bar. Because of the cost of a Silver and Gold Bar, it is recommended to only use this potion for Silver or Gold smelting.
Large Bar Potion[]
The Large Bar Potion is a Potion that gives a temporary 20% chance that two Bars will be smelted instead of one, while only using one Ore. This effect will only work for Bars up to Promethium, so will not work for Titanium Bars or higher. It requires 8 Gold Leaves, 50 Lime Leaves, and 1 each of a Bronze Bar, Iron Bar, Silver Bar, Gold Bar, and Promethium Bar. Because of the high cost, it is not recommended to use, but if you have one to use, it would only be useful for smelting Promethium Bars.
